XTH Β· THE TOKEN FOR VERIFIED WORK
A token that rewards verified work, not speculation
Each block rewards useful, verified work β a proof, a lemma, a training run. No mint: 1 billion XTH, fixed at genesis. That is the protocol's target β here is what is real today.
The XTH circulating today come from the trial phase (alpha mint) β never presented as the final economy.
The protocol's target β today, the test chain still minted during its exploratory phase (see the story).
01 β What it is
The target: one billion, fixed at genesis
Every claim carries its status: what is coded and tested, what is the launch target.
- The principle
- Each block rewards useful, verified work β proof, lemma, training. Work is proven before it is paid.
- No mint
- 1 billion XTH, fixed at genesis, mint off. Note: the test chain online still minted during its exploratory phase β that is precisely what the move to the L1 freezes.
- Today
- On test network 43911, mining earns trial XTH: useful for testing, clearly labelled, with no promised value.
02 β The economy
Predictable fees, a shared reward
Four mechanisms. Two are the launch target; one is already real and tested; the last is announced without being wired.
- EIP-1559 fees
- Predictable fees, burned or distributed by rule β no surprise on the cost of a transaction.
- 5 % levy (70/20/10)
- A share of rewards feeds miners (70), curators (20) and the treasury (10).
- Sponsor without power
- Whoever commissions work cannot influence the verdict: payment is separate from judgement. Coded and tested in the core.
- Market (WorkMarket)
- Where work is proposed, challenged and paid. Coded in the core, not wired online β announced as a prototype.
03 β The homonymy
XTH β XTH: why the name changed meaning
The trial chain was already called XTH. Moving to the L1 changes what the token is.
The alpha XTH was uncapped and mintable β a trial currency to validate the concept. The protocol's XTH is fixed at 1 billion, mint off β the currency of a system that pays for verified work. This site tells that transition on the story timeline, instead of hiding it.
